Kathy Cabello received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering from Eastern Michigan University and her MBA from the University of Notre Dame. She is also a MBEP graduate of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She began her career as a computer engineer working as a computer systems developer for Fortune 500 companies. While in the corporate arena, she transitioned to marketing and customer account management, there her love for strategy and marketing was born. This led to her starting Cabello Associates, a full service, marketing consultancy. Kathy focuses on corporate strategy and marketing to meet each client’ s particular needs. As a bilingual and bicultural professional, she brings an added wealth of marketing knowledge that transcends both the general market as well as the Hispanic market. Her experience and success in the business world includes working with clients regionally, nationally and internationally.
Passion for promoting and encouraging higher education for youth is something Kathy actively blends her business strengths with to mentor Hispanic/Latino youth and provide networking opportunities. An active member of the community, Kathy is President Emeritus and a founding member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs – Indianapolis chapter and serves on the executive board of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Indianapolis. She is a member of the New Wishard Diversity Advisory Board, IUPUI Chancellor Dialogue Advisory Group, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Business Council and an alumnus of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series Class XXIV.
Dr. Field is responsible for business marketing and strategy development for Cabello Associates. His background includes expertise in sales, marketing, strategy development, project management, and business process improvement. His experience includes both domestic and international assignments primarily focused on the healthcare arena. He has worked in both the private and public sectors with firms of varying sizes, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He has overseen the activities of major brand initiatives, new product launches, line extension roll-outs, multifunctional teams, and financial impact planning and analysis. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oklahoma Christian University and a Masters of Public Health and PhD degree from the University of Oklahoma. He is also a graduate of the Business Marketing Executive Program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Eddy has enjoyed a career in advertising spanning over thirty years working as an Art Director and Creative Director for agencies throughout Texas and Indiana.
Today, as Creative Director of Cabello Associates Inc., he focuses on the development of corporate communications through the merging of creativity and strategy. According to Cabello, “the synergy created from thinking strategically and developing creatively is what makes everyday exciting. It’s still rewarding to come into the office and be part of creating ideas, messages, and strategies that work for our clients”.
Over his career his branding work, product launch campaigns, healthcare & pharmaceutical marketing programs, and advertising campaigns have won him numerous awards on a global, national, and regional basis. As Creative Director, the creative direction he sets is daily translated into print/collateral, packaging, corporate branding, television/film, radio, e-media (web), Hispanic Marketing and even interior design and monument sculpture.
As a bi-lingual and multi-cultural Latino, he enjoys a unique perspective in understanding the Hispanic Market and its nuances within various markets in the United States. He is often called upon to speak on the issues regarding this emerging market and the opportunities for businesses, specifically in the health arena.
As a designer, he takes much pride in educating and mentoring future designers and graphic artists by teaching them the importance of “total” knowledge of the business – strategic marketing, design and advertising while also promoting personal participation in the arts.
He sits on several Executive and Advisory Boards of Directors in Indianapolis and is very civically minded. He graciously received the Volunteer of the Year Award from United Way of Indianapolis through his involvement as a Big Brother for many years.
Eddy is also co-founder and co-host of Inside MusiCast, an musician-focused podcast, interviewing the most proficient and acclaimed musicians, producers, composers and industry people in the world.
An avid jazz aficionado, he also enjoys playing piano and regularly attends music festivals.
